Teen Piano Lessons in Fullerton | Connections Piano Academy

Piano Lessons for Teenagers

Designed for teenagers, our program doesn't treat them like kids.

Create a Connection to Music

For a teenager, music often evolves from a simple interest into a powerful form of self-expression. Our program helps them deepen that connection, transforming the piano into an outlet for creativity, a tool for focus, and a way to play the music they genuinely love.

Online Practices

As the foundational step in our Performance Pathway, weekly online practices provide structure and community. For an hour each week, your teen will join their teacher and peers for focused, parallel practice time. The session concludes with a brief, optional opportunity to perform for this small, supportive group. This is the safest, most low-pressure environment for your teen to normalize playing for others and build a strong foundation of confidence.

Group Workshops

As the second step on our Performance Pathway, monthly workshops offer a space for your teen to connect with other dedicated music students on a deeper level. The teacher leads engaging discussions on interesting musical topics, and every student has the opportunity to perform in a friendly, encouraging setting. This is a gentle step up from the informal sharing in Online Practices, helping to make performance a regular and comfortable part of their musical journey.

Keys for Kindness

At Keys for Kindness events, your teen will take their music out into the world, performing at places in the community like local retirement homes. This is a crucial third step in building confidence, as they'll be sharing their music with a new, deeply appreciative audience outside of our immediate studio family. It’s the perfect real-world setting for them to practice their performance skills, and learn the powerful and positive impact their music can have on others.

Studio Recitals

As the final step on the Performance Pathway, bi-annual studio recitals are a true celebration of your teen's progress. In this more formal setting, they will connect with a wider audience, showcasing the skills and confidence they have carefully built through every previous performance opportunity. This final step on the performance pathway is a joyful culmination of their hard work and dedication—a special moment they get to share with proud friends and family.
