My 8 year old daughter has been taking lessons for about a year and a half now. We have been absolutely thrilled to have Jacqueline as her instructor. She is incredibly patient with her students and is a wonderful pianist.

Her dedication to her craft is clear and she is always finding ways to incorporate new tools to help her students succeed. My daughter has made tremendous growth since she started piano lessons.

Jacqueline gave my six year old son and I lessons and was always prompt, courteous, and professional. Lessons are age appropriate and she was patient and understanding with the needs of a young musician. I think she's quite good.

For a fee, Jacqueline is willing to drive to your house, which is a huge convenience for a busy family.

Jacqueline has been a great instructor! Being new to the piano she has made it very easy to understand and teaches the core fundamentals needed further down the line. I would highly recommend!

Jacqueline is very professional and encouraging. I had played and taken lessons over 20 years ago. I decided to start playing again because the piano is such an important part of my life. I am new to piano and tend to get overwhelmed and discouraged easily so i really appreciate the way Jacqueline works with me. I get frustrated often but she has always been patient with me and always manages to find a way to teach me that works for me. I've loved getting piano lessons with Ms. Jackie. She's taught me with a well-rounded variety, with warm-ups, fundamentals, technique, small pieces, and longer challenging pieces. She's also always ready to answer any questions or explain musical concepts in many different ways. My son, Corey, 35, has been attending Connections Piano Academy, formerly known as High Desert Piano, since May 2025. To express our praise for Ms. Jacqueline effectively, I must first provide a backstory about my son. Corey is a traumatic brain injury survivor following a van vs bicyclist accident in 2005, which caused total left side paralysis, intellectual deficit and disinhibition, just to name a few of his disabilities. Although he relearned to walk and use his left arm and hand following years of physical and occupational therapies, he suffers left side neglect and “forgets” he has a left hand.

We enrolled Corey in piano lessons conceivably to gain better use of his left hand, with hopes of learning to appreciate and enjoy the piano. Ms. Jacqueline took on several challenges by accepting Corey as her piano student. She handles his emotional outbursts, verbal resistance, and ADHD tendencies with consistency, professionalism and an unshakable determination. She uses fun manipulatives to keep Corey engaged and receptive to learn. Because of Ms. Jacqueline’s patience and perseverance, Corey has already become familiarized with the keys and gained a greater understanding of reading music than I ever imagined was possible.
